No regular ED lenses

The BDII-XD is equipped with Kowa’s eco-friendly, legendary dual XD lenses. High resolution ED glass contains large amounts of the mineral fluorite – the best material currently available to ensure high light transmittance in optical devices. This provides an image with edge-to-edge sharpness and virtually zero chromatic aberration (color fade). Kowa lens coating technology, developed over decades, further improves light transmission properties.

Designed for durability

The BDII-XD range uses a magnesium alloy construction which ensures durability while the lighter weight is an added advantage. The lightweight, durable construction can tolerate the harshest conditions and provides a sense of security and longevity.

The hard magnesium alloy body is surrounded by a protective layer of rubber armor that not only provides a firm, comfortable grip, but also increases the level of durability.

Each binocular is fully waterproof and nitrogen-filled to prevent the lenses from fogging. Kowa’s unique KR coating repels dirt and prevents deposits from forming on the lenses.
